In some areas of the state the herd will never come back in our life time. These are the far northern areas. Mid state the herd didn't suffer the losses and can rebound. This should be a much better year in the woods the numbers I'm seeing tells me that hunters will take more deer this year. Keep your fingers crossed and hope for 2 or 3 more good winters.
