Caught a nice Red and 3 Fisher this week. The bad part is the Fishers belly's were close to green and I check the traps everyday! This warm weather & rain sure aren't doing us any good.

Still waiting on the bobcats return . . .

Congrats on the trapping Jack! Talked to my trapper buddy the other day. He'd gotten 5 Coyotes, 2 foxes, and a Bobcat that he had to let go. 3 of the coyotes had mange, but he said since they're dead now they're good coyotes. When I asked how he let the bobcat go he only said "very carefully".

I gained a new respect for bobcats when one took a rooster in the middle of the morning. I thought it had gone off into the woods with the rooster. When I bent over to pick up a few long tail feathers left behind from the rooster the cat growled at me. It was 6' from my head, hiding between a tarp and the wood pile. Scared the hell out of me. I never want to run into one that closely again. When they start being pests I start looking for trappers.
