In this sick rant by an anti, he said this:

(9) A South Dakota Department of Game, Fish, and Parks biologist estimates that more than 3 million wounded ducks go “unretrieved” every year

That's a lot of ducks and I have no way of knowing whether he meant just in S. Dakota of in the U.S., North America or the world.

Anybody got any hard evidence on this?

Its kind of like all the lynx and bald eagles the irresponsible trappers in Maine are killing every year. All the guys I know who trap say they've never caught a lynx or eagle, but that just means that they're lying.
