If you really want to start a new law, lets get a referendum to change election day from Nov. to April 16. This way, it will be fresh in everyones checkbook how much income tax they paid to the State of Maine. :x

Actually , wouldn't it be better for Mainers to do all their voting in FEBRUARY when all the "I can't take the cold & snow " whooseys are back home where their drivers license says they really live?

Nope, we have our town meetings/voting in June just as all the non-residents come back for three months. It's not legal for them to vote at town meetings because they don't "RESIDE HERE"! They only own land or a house here.

Same thing goes for November elections, they're all up to leaf-peep and hunt because it's so much prettier her than where they make all their MONEY!

I get what you mean though about tax time!
