no kidding. What's up with that? Is there more to this story than what it appears on the surface?

First of all, I'm not ready to jump on the band wagon and yell ATF abuse. There are always two sides to any story.

I am vehemently opposed to government controlling guns and a firm believer in our 2nd Amendment rights.

This sounds like it began as a domestic problem or revenge or whatever is going on and his ex called the police and gave them information that is or is not true.

What ATF did there, I really do not know other than what one person says and then to read all of the comments, 99% of which are feeding the frenzy of rebuking the ATF for what they did.

If he has a good lawyer, they will sift through all of this and sort out what was legally done and not. Provided Uncle Says has, as he and others say, broken no laws, then he is clean. If he has legal retribution toward her or the ATF, his lawyer should find that out.

What the ATF did will be scrutinized as well. I don't know the laws in Tennessee and in particular their gun laws as they vary from state to state quite a bit.

We don't know what this woman said to the authorities. In this day and age of terrorism, what she had to say may have triggered a series of events that brought into play portions of he Patriot Act. If she gave information that was false, she could be facing some very serious charges herself.

If this story pans out to be a serious case of abuse by the ATF and personal rights were not protected, then we got something very troubling to concern ourselves with.

I hope I have not come across as some fuddy duddy, but it is imperative to know all the facts before making claims pertaining to either side and pointing fingers.

Keep us posted on the progress of this thing if you can. Potentially, this is frighteningly serious.

Thanks for the heads-up on the story.
