I don't bait deer, but I think it is a good idea to help them along with nutrition during the late winter months. Maybe with some of that mineral stuff you buy in Cabelas etc.
I would not turn someone in who was baiting deer. Let the dam wardens get out of their trucks and do the job they spose to be doing. Only time I ever see one is in their truck riding around, bothering people doing stuff legal and all.
Hey Mr. Warden........ get out of the dam truck!!!

I don't bait deer, and I don't think baiting should be legal. I know that there were a group of guys near my camp that were using grain to shoot all of their deer. The only reason I know this is because a local in town was telling me how the wardens found the stands and baits but the hunter's had already tagged out and couldn't get them for anything. I'm the kind of guy who does things by the rules. I wouldn't be able to feel very proud of myself if I baited my deer. All the fun is trying to find them, figure them out, and outsmart them. After that fraction of a second it takes to pull the trigger the work begins.

I don't care much for bait myself. There is plenty of natural bait out there, Does, beechnut, acorns, raspberry, etc.
Bait is for fishing, it dosen't belong in the deer woods.
If you aint man enough to "hunt" for your deer, then step aside and let me show you how it's done!

Kinda like one of dem pineapple trees.
I remember a few years back coming across netted grapefruit bags filled with apples hanging from pine trees scattered all through one of my favorite hunting areas.
Dang if the wind didn't blow them all away! Shucks!

That's taking the idea way out on a limb...pine or otherwise. I don't blame you there. But what's relocation of a few yards vs making pine trees bear fruit. Or leaving two rows of corn standing on the back corner of the field.
