Beretta has a new polymer pistol out, that is an addition to what appears to be a new trend in the firearms world, modular firearms. That is, firearms whose various controls are easily made ambidextrous, or upgraded, often without the aid of a gunsmith.

The pistol is available in 9mm and 40 S&W.

That's cool. It even has reversible magazine release buttons.

Yeah, the whole "modular" thing is real popular now, especially with Beretta. Their Cx4 storm carbine (available in 9mm, 40S&W, and 45ACP) even has revesable ejection for us southpaws. Most everything can be reversed, or upgraded by the user, no gunsmithing knowledge required.

I just think that is a great idea in a handgun. Isn't technology interesting and fun?
