Wow after all the hot and humid weather we have been getting up here in Maine we just had a frost advisory for Western/Northern Maine and NH. Weather man said the temps are what they should be in mid September.

Anyway, due to the cool air does anybody else feel like deer season is right around the corner? Or is it just me?

It has been a long time since I hunted on at least 6 inches of snow. Would be nice come the first of November we get a foot dumped on us.

I remember a time in my life when Maine had a split season, north & south and an any deer permit hadn't been thought up yet! Dad used to take me up to camp in Monson and almost every time we went up it was snowing above the 45th paralell.
I am sleeping better with the dryer air but the cool temps make it even easier to work in the woods. But yeah, Steve, I'm getting the itch too.

This weekend it was real cool. In the evening it got down to 45... It was real refreshing and we ordered our wood. Yes we still burn wood as our primary heating source.. At this point it is cheaper!

Hey, Jack!

I remember that too. I remember when the boundary between north and south was U.S. Route 2. We lived on the south side of U.S. 2. We had the Androscoggin River between us and 2. We then had a long deer hunting season.
