Hunted a place last year that the ducks wouldn't come to any decoys. What is your alls take on this?

Did your try any flyer decoys or the electronic bobbers?

Where did you get the decoys? Maybe they didn't buy into it...

We tried everything imaginable on this body of water. One of my partners is an avid duck hunter and guides in the Delta during the season.He was dumbfounded also.

do they reflect sunlight?

No reflections at all. This has been an ongoing problem on this body of water after the opening day. We feel it could be just resident ducks we are hunting and they know the deal after getting shot at.

Try adding a confidence decoy like a crain or something and see if that helps. I've heard resident birds will figgure decoys out and avoid them. We see that a lot with geese so we are allways changing things around.

Bass Pro sells (or sold) a great heron deke. I sold a pile of them when I had the store! Also, try a lone mallard hen with the heron or seagull deke.
