Anyone know of any good deer butchers in the Freeport, Portland, Lewiston areas?

Not familiar with any butcher's in that area, but if you stop in to Howell's Guns and Archery in Gray, or Bennett's Gun Shop in Freeport they'll probably be able to steer you towards a good butcher.

A good butcher in So. Hiram (45 min from Portlan via Rte 25 West) is Paul Martin- 625-4173. He's on Durgintown Rd. and is a professional butcher by-day. $70 and he butchers it the way you want (sausage, burger, roasts, steaks, etc.) and even will cape your trophy for you for that same price.
He just butchered my 8 pointer (165. lbs) I shot on Wednesday in Porter. The cape has been sent to Gene Bahr (genebahr.com) in Sebago for a museaum quality mount to be created.
