Don't Diss Those Looking For Help

We got a comment in the trapping forums from a member who had a bad experience at another message board. This brought to my mind something that I think should be discussed at this time.

I have been to many forums around and I'm sure fewer than most of you. One thing that has become clear is that there are members of some boards that don't take kindly to hunters, trappers, etc. coming to message boards looking for advice, tips, information, etc.

I personally do not have a problem with people asking. I wouldn't reveal my secret hunting places, but I am not adverse to giving those seeking help, help.

That doesn't mean that you have to. But what we, the administers of this website are asking is to show respect, plain and simple. If you don't think someone should be asking for help, then don't respond to their threads.

It will not be acceptible on this message board to verbally abuse someone because they came asking for some help.

If the members here feel that it would be better dealt with by providing a separate forums specifically for those lookers, that can be done. This is the place right now to offer us some feedback, yea or nay about this subject. Thank you!

I say let them ask.
If I don't have any input that will help, I'll keep my typing finger off the keys.
There is no such thing as a stupid question.
