Hey guys,

How old is this Miane forum? I've noticed that there are only about 113 registered users. I know there are lot more Mainers than that. I registered and I'm from PA.

This is a great forum and I enjoy talking to all of you, especially those of you that track deer.

Hey bigbuck,

These forums are a couple of years old but it just sat here for over a year and there were only a few of us on it. It wasn't until recently we have started to promote it and advertise it online and offline. Also thanks to our members here who enjoy the site have told others about it.

So in a sense this is really a fairly new site.

Glad you like it! :D

It's easy to tell your a real Mainer Moose. This is a tough market because of Maine being so rural and isolated. Very few have high speed access.....well hell, like you said, "how many of them have electricity"

Wow, I must have the world by the...... I have high speed access and also live in a rural setting. Back when I had basic dial up, you started your system, made coffeee, drank coffee, when to the wood shed and split wood, wife calls you in for lunch, have your meal, then you get on the internet. It was wayyyyyyyy slow through my provider.

When I was living out in Ohio I actually had cable hook up. I moved back to Bangor and I live right here on Center st and Verizon told me my house was not set up yet for DSL...

I had to wait about a year and a half before they set me up and got me running on DSL. Been on it for about 3 months.

Makes you wonder don't it???
Saw last year where Bangor,Maine was one of the top cities in the world when it came to technology and communications. The writing was in support for companies to move to the region and set up shop. Actually the writer wasn't from Maine nor did he have any ties to the area. Now, I sit here pondering this and wonder where he got his information from if the are just getting DSL installed in the city.

Well I was a small percentage still left that couldn't get it. Most of Bangor has been able to get DSL for a lot longer.
