Sorry but the NRA doesn't scare Wally World !!!!!!

We have to stop this trend...... support your local economy..... shop local and let LL. Bean and Cabelas court the richy riches. I lost my source for cheaper guns locally.... your next !!!

Like Remington says not all of us shop the higher priced "Specialty" stores.....some go just for utility.

:gitrdone:
The loacl gunshops are jacking prices as we speak..... and now I have to drive 45 minutes North to buy a single shot shotgun for under 100.00.

You know, I am sure the Wally World thing is about anti-gunners and all, but I can't help but think that they are worried they will get hammered by the BATF because the people working there doing the instant background check and filling out all the paperwork have a higher tendency to screw it up. I speculate that the people working there doing these forms don't really give a crap and are not exactly "qualified" to explain the guns like they are supposed to and all that. I would not buy a gun from a place that does not know guns. I think that there needs to be reasonably priced guns for the average law abiding citizen to purchase though, for hunting and for self defense. I do hope that Cabelas comes in and gives KTP some competition, as LL Bean certainly is NO competition for KTP. LL Bean sold out long ago to the yuppies and liberals. Ever wonder why the hunting and fishing is in a different store now? I bet Cabelas will have reasonably priced guns. LL Bean does not for sure. Like I want to spend how much on a stupid Blaser bolt gun??? Hell, Wally World was carrying low end Weatherby's. I would buy one of those before I would spend thousands on those Blasers at Bean. BUT, I would much prefer to buy one at a place where the person behind the counter can actually answer my questions about the guns they sell.

This is IMHO of course. I am not particular to high end guns by any means. I mean, I like quality and will save up for something expensive if I want it, but I am just as apt to pull out the Rem870 12 gauge as I am the Weatherby O/U 20g which are WORLDS apart in price and quality! It is more what works for the situation. Oh, the pheasant feathers fell to the Weatherby, the duck to the Rem870...

Oh, another note, concerning the prices being jacked up at local shops. This is coming from the manufacturers and distributers. I bought a 1911A1WW11 model this summer and the day my FFL ordered it, it went up $60 from the distributor! He honored the price he had given me though, as he was going to order it the day before but didn't for his own reasons. This has happened across the board. I have another FFL I deal with in NH and prices got jacked up on CZ rifles and shotguns from last year quite a bit.

Hey Curlymaple42.........
I just have a problem with Wally.... and I work for them. The gun thing just capped it for me. Our local dealers knew they have us by the short hairs... so they jacked the price on all guns... I know because I was looking at a pistol there before the wally world thing... and all of his prices moved up 10 to 15% two days after we stopped selling long guns.
