Okay here's a tough question for you, if oyu found yourself in a SHTF (*%#$ hits the fan) situation and could only bring one gun with you, which would it be? It doesn't have to be one that you own, just if you could only have one which one?

I have never shot a .44mag pistol, but have shot it in a model 94 carbine, it is pretty stiff out of a 6+ pound rifle, I can't imagine what it is like in a handgun. Good choice though, I like your thinking. I am still not sure what I would choose.

This is just a what if anyways, no reason to be too serious, anything short of "plasma gun" is cool with me. It would not be difficult to getyour hands on most anything in an SHTF situation anyways.

I just thought this would be fun, everybody has a favorite gun. It doesn't matter if it is the best choice or not, I just think this is a fun topic. A tough deciion too, only one gun, very tough choice.

I have decided, here it is:

THE THOMPSON M1 SMG .45 ACP
The thing weighs a ton, but is an incredible little gun, hard to control the muzzle climb in full auto, but tough as nails, 12lbs of nothing but machined steel and solid walnut.
