Hey Guides... Just wanted to let you know I have been getting a lot of emails lately asking to point them in the right direction to find someone to show them around the woods. Mostly out of state folks looking to come to Maine and get a hunt. They are looking to book now before it is too late.

The types of things they ask are:
1) Who should I use to guide me and my buddy...??
2) Do they offer places to sleep?
3) How much will this cost us?

These types of things are not necessarily our expertise yet I do my best to let them know. I usually leave a link to the forums here letting them know there are Guides here and you can ask those questions.

So, I would suggest if you are a Guide to leave a link to your website in your signature, maybe even a logo. If you don't know how let me know and I can help. Also posting success stories like Mark Orion Luce does with pictures will help. Pictures are like a thousand words.

If you don't have a website let me know and we can create one for you at a reasonable price. We also take brochure information and photos and place them on one page here at Maine Hunting Today under Featured Businesses for a one time fee. We don't charge monthly or yearly, just a one time thing.

If you want a logo slapped down at the bottom of the forums next to Hindsite let me know and we can arrange something.

The more you get your info up here the easier people can find you. If a client tells you they found you through the site here please let us know. We would be thrilled to know we led people to you.

So PM me or email me at [email protected] if you need help or have questions..... I will be more than happy to help you all.

There are a ton of lurkers who don't post but are searching for info... So help them out!

Grouse & woodcock

A friend & I will be in Portland in a few weeks & will be able to shake free for a couple of days to bird hunt. We would appreciate any recommendations for a guide with dogs located not too far away (we will return to Portland in the eve) who could take us out.

Many thanks
