It has come to my attention that a device called the drawlock..is not legal in Maine. It simply holds the bow at full draw and release via a "trigger" mechanism. I know of a few hunters with back issues who could use this device to keep hunting..why is it outlawed? I understand that the device would render a compound bow a "crossbow" of sorts, but these are now legal.

What is your opinion?

Never seen one, but why not if it's safe.

Maybe one should just trade in the compound and get an inexpensive crossbow.

Bet it wouild be more comfortable to shoot and be alot safer.

I think for the people that need them, they are a godsend.
