I got a few yotes this year, I would like to get soft tanned. Does any one know any one in maine thats does it. Also do they do any wet tanning for mounting animals. I would like to try some head mounts.

It is my understanding that all commercial tanneries in Maine have closed down. The last I knew of was in the Greenville area.
I think what you are looking to do is get them "garment" tanned. That is the best way if you are going to have them hanging in the house or on the back of the couch.

If I could get a real good deal on tanning, I would NEVER sell my furs at an auction again.

Sent some out a while ago to Moyle Mink and Tannery. They have a web site, or you can also find their info on the National Trappers website.
Used them before and was pleased with the results!

did a few (deer, smaller specimen's) myself last year with a kit from Rittel's. easy, a little time consuming, turned out good.
