..to get out and do some scouting for next season. Here's several reasons why:

1. It's cool
2. It's relatively bug-less
3. Late season deer movement patterns are still apparent
4. Those other hunter's movement pattarns are also still apparent. (Ever been shocked to learn that there some other guy's stand - right where you least expected it?)

I am the same way Guns. Spring comes late in Maine and so I can't really get out easily until after April....

A lot of successful hunters I know spend all year in the woods and getting accustomed to deer habits. What do they eat and when? When and where do they bed down? etc...

I tell ya....if I were able, I'd spend every waking moment in the woods. There is nothing like it in my opinion. I look for every excuse to get away and get to the woods!
