I can't believe that my summer in Maine is just about over. It has gone so fast and I haven't completed half what I intended to get done this summer.

On Tuesday of next week, I'll be putting my wife and granddaughter on a plane in Portland and then turning my steering wheel south at the onramp to I-95. I should arrive in Largo, Florida sometime on Wednesday evening.

The tradeoff comes with me then having my usual 12 + hours to devote daily to my work with Maine Hunting Today and all the US Hunting Today websites. The down side is I am not nearby ready to make a field trip to get a story or take a picture.

But, until economics dictate otherwise, I'll back home by this time next week.

Have a safe trip. Too bad your missing out on the best months to be in Maine (not that any month is a bad month to be in Maine). You must really like the bug season though!

Ugh! What a bumper crop this year!

I am really relegated to my wife's teaching schedule. For some odd reason of which nobody seems to know the answer, school begins in Florda the last week of July and ends mid May.

I sure wish they would get it in line with the rest of the country so I could be here mid June to mid Aug.

I will be coming north for hunting season. I haven't finalized plans yet but I'm thinking of coming for more than just the one week at camp. It depends of price of gas, price of airline tickets, time, money, whether Jack is around, you know the usual.
