Twin Cubs
On my return trip to Florida, as we were leaving Bethel, we approached Gilead at about 5 AM. In front of us crossing the road, we spotted two young black bear cubs scampering to cross the highway. We stopped and watched them play and act quite unconcerned with us and other passing traffic for quite some time.
I never caught sight of mom but I can bet she wasn't too far off.
Other than one other time while hunting deep in the woods, that is the first time I have seen baby cubs at or near the road.
