Theres a few gravel pits in Levant that one could shoot in. Try the Horseback Road in levant, it goes from RT222 over to the Fuller Rd. There is 3 diffent pits on that road. Also in Levant is a pit on the corner of the Lake Rd and Pine Tree Rd. Glenburn has a decent pit which is located off the Pushaw Rd, its on the Frenchs Pioint Rd(Pushaw Lake).
Hope this helps you.

You could try the town office in levant. I have not yet looked into the pits and it appears John Porter is on leave of absence or something. Others here seem to think he will be back eventually. Hopefully when he does he can provide some details.

There are some ranges in the area if that is your thing, I know of one in hampden and there may be others. The one in Hampdent is $45/year plus a one time $20 fee for new members and requires an NRA membership which is another $35/year if you don't already have one. Which is pretty expensive if you don't have a lot of money to burn like me.

Yeah I am in the same boat, not wanting to spend a lot on a membership. I would like to go to a pit or someplace and just shoot and do my own thing.

Thanks for the reply.

I will try to get ahold of the town and find out who owns it. I will let you know if I get any info.

Geoffrey.
