Everyone's been telling me they are seeing a lot of deer. Are you? I've seen some but not as many as last summer while I was up.

We all know Mad Jack is corraling them up over at his place. Time to make a report. Tweedie told me the other day he saw quite a bunch.

Thanks for the warm welcome Jack

. I had some problems with my ticker a couple months ago, and they had to shock me back into rhythm.
I did some some thinkin and got out of the school I was into, it was cuttin into my family and friends time way to mutch. Life is too short to be stressed out all the time.
I'm stickin to huntin and fishin. :thumb:

BTW.... I have a pretty good idea where the deer will be come huntin season. :idea:

I did some spotting the end of last week and over the weekend. All I saw were small does. I saw a lot of deer sign in the woods. There is just too much cover right now along the logging roads. Grass is up five feet or so on the edges so its tough to spot them.

Not to mention the 2" long mooseflies that can straif you with their fangs from two feet away! Man, those things hurt.

Tough to get out when those commy flies are out in force.

They were out in full force Jack. Deer flies too. I think they like the taste of bugspray too.

It's a bumper crop that's for sure. By the way, I snuck down to Jack's house the other day and snapped this shot of his herd of whitetail.

I'm hoping to make a short scouting trip this upcoming week, depending on a couple meetings I need to schedule. Little brother has been scouting and has spotted three different bucks around his place in various fields from his fourwheeler. He's hoping to drop a nice 10 point he's seen a few times with his bow in a few weeks.
