Yesterday I posed a question at the Black Bear Blog that if Americans truely could have their 2nd Amendment rights and been able to have carried weapons onto the four planes on 9/11, would any of this every happened?

Thoughts anyone?

We can only speculate on what would have happened if the passengers/pilots were able to carry weapons. If the airlines would keep an armed guard at every cabin door, I think our planes would be at less risk of being hijacked.

I beleive if one person on each of those planes had a gun and knew when & how to use it, no-one on the ground would have been hurt.
Sure the some or all the people on the planes MAY have been killed, but the overall impact would not have been there and that in itself may have prevented the idiots from attempting what they did.

Keep in mind...if we could carry guns on planes...they could to..........they would find a way to manipulate the system. But they would shoot first.....control the plane and disarm you!!!! Besides who would want shoot outs at 30,000 feet.

I think with two well trained air marshals on board things would be different. As far as who fires the first shot, only time would tell.
I think I would like to have that job, even at 30,000 ft.

But anyone not a citizen of the U.S. couldn't carry nor could anyone who is a felon, if the security are doing their jobs right.
