Hey...I just know what I have here in my backyard..I don't know how it is down there. Up here we are at the extreme Northern tip of the whitetails range. That means they have ahard enough time of it.God didn't ship the coyotes in....they are invaders. Ones we hope to repel or at least better manage.

I'm glad to see all of you coming here and voicing your opinions.....that was what I was after.
At least we all agree that there is a problem...... now we have to fix it. With or without the IFW help.

AS kenton pointed out the 'yote ain't no trpohy..... but put a price on his head and see the numbers drop.

Up here in the county we missed the economic booms of the last 3 decades that southern Maine had to assist with their stronger economy. Honestly up here a chance to go out and shoot a half dozen coyote for a 100.00 bill or better would be more than a pot of gold for us. More than a few trappers have said they'ld quit their regular jobs and trap full time if a bounty was offered on the "yotes. Well there is our solution...and a legal one. We just need to have the cajones to put the price on 'em. I have offered several payment methods to fund the bounty...none requiring the state to give up anything.

In fact if a bounty was offered the guides would see an immediate increase in their business if they pursued Coyotes..... as Capt. Duggins does.

The average hunter would relish the chance to hunt and get paid back some of his expenses. ( As Norm stated.)

The lack of a decision is in effect a decision....... I just choose to be provocative and opinionated enough for all.

Preservation without reservation......requires designation for eradication!!!

Let the trappers into deer yards with snares...

You'll see the coyotes piling up like they use to before it was banned.

A bounty is a dirty word to many non hunters... doesn't bother me, but I don't think you'll get Augusta to see it like us hunters do.
